Responsive / Douwe Egberts Coffee. Packaging design

Inspiration for packaging...

I want to make the coffee more obtainable for the younger generation, reducing the size to a moderate portion of 12 cups per package. This size serving encourages younger people to buy on a weekly basis and also taste the full flavours of all the coffee without it going off, after all it is taken from a plant and has a shelf life.

I've tried to make the designs modern and also work within the home environment, using a style that's currently attracting younger people...

Side view of how the boxes would look with their side colours and tear aways....After placing the images next to one another I realised that the black was too drastic and powerful so I've decided to calm this down and use a brown/ coffee bean colour...

FACE AND BOTTOM OF CONTAINER.

Overall I'm happy with the development of the triangle/ coffee holders. I feel they're colours work successfully in the home environment and also catch the eye of younger people, the current colour schemes above were also designed with the thought of coffee in mind, primarily Douwe Egberts famous red and black branding and the origins of coffee....

The bottom boxes attached to the triangles represent the bottom of the 3D triangles and their tear aways.
